Today, the Marathi language is dying. The primary reason for this is that the education system fortifying Marathi is being systematically weakened. Our values, culture and moral fibre are at a great risk if we allow this to happen.
The Wise Buddha project has undertaken the task of rejuvenation of schools that teach in the regional language – Marathi. Using time-tested and solid educational systems, we want to make sure that local language schools are transformed and counted amongst the best in the country.
We achieve this by giving teachers the tools to deliver quality education to students on a regular basis. The results are evident from day one. The students also receive systematic exposure to the English language, which is a necessity today. As a result, we believe that students, who are the final beneficiaries of our project, will connect better with the teacher and learn more effectively, thereby achieving the desired learning outcomes.
