Nikhil is a director at the Walnut School and The Wise Buddha project. He has a strong technical background, and holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from R.A.I.T and a Master of Computer Science from UMass Lowell.
Earlier, he was heading technology, infrastructure and administration at Millennium National School for over a decade. Over the last few years he also headed the finances of the school. Nikhil is also involved with the Computer Society of India, and organizes various conferences on computer science and was the Chairman of the Pune Chapter. He is also involved closely with the budding startup community in Pune, and is the core member of the Pune Open Coffee Club (POCC). He has also guided various students of engineering for their final year projects. Prior to returning to India, Nikhil was employed with EMC Corporation, USA in their Advanced Research team, and StorageTek in various capacities. A geek at heart, he is a major proponent of Open Source and is considered to be an authority on the topic. He has developed learning tools based on Open Source, which are extensively used for training teachers and students.
Nikhil looks after the finances, daily internal operations, and technology for both, the Walnut School and The Wise Buddha project.
